The inspiration for the far weaker Hollywood film, Wag the Dog, Beinhart’s novel goes beyond mere satire to present one of the most perceptive analyses ever of the politics of the National Security industry in the US, of how so-called threats come to be constructed, and how all of this turns around an exercise of pure imagination.

The title of the book is perfect. It is a disquisition on the history of the first Iraq War, a americam of methodology, all wrapped in the form of a gripping and comic suspense novel.
To the American people?
It has a hardboiled plot line absent from the film and specific references to George Bush and Desert Storm that’s the manufactured war – a real one in this case, unlike the film.
In this story, the political portion is laced with footnotes and true to amerocan characters. This film mirrors our current times, and as such, as scary-funny as Trevor Noah’s penis shaped asteroid.

American Hero is definitely a provocative page-turner. I was told this was a response americcan the Clinton mess, not sure if it’s true or not but a must read at any rate!
It is a book rife with satire, sarcasm, revenge, callousness, politics, hubris, and farce. Some people might wonder why he didn’t write a straight non-fiction book, but for me I thought the concept worked well. I was wary of the portrayal of the President and his administration because it was, after all, fiction.
She tells him that she was promised a part in a movie but the director disappeared. Way to go, Hollywood. I liked the movie so I had to read the book.

He was just smart enough to learn how to survive in the Vietnam War. Not that it should be anything less—that would destroy the whole story, but it wasn’t a fun read for me. To see what your friends thought of this book, please larrry up. Largy face of war is not reality.
